Currently the marriage act of Australia states that “marriage is the union of a man and a woman” This means that people of the same sex are unable to be married in the same way heterosexual couples can. Naturally the law is always under review and constant lobbying so this could change in the future.   One way to publicly display your commitment to your partner is by way of a commitment ceremony. This can contain all the elements of a wedding but without the legal wording and registration. There are avenues to be listed on an international commitment register and I will discuss that with you at the time of our initial meeting. I include a sand ceremony as well as provide a professional commitment ceremony certificate and a bound copy of your ceremony.   The fee for a same sex commitment ceremony is $300. Naming ceremonies are a beautiful alternative to a church type christening.   Introducing your baby to the world via a ceremony is a wonderful way to begin your child’s journey into the life ahead. Godparents or “Mentors” can be selected to help be guides in your child’s future chosen path.  The included sand ceremony also can combine members of the family into the ceremony with a lasting keepsake of this special day.    My fee for Namings is $250. Renewing vows is a wonderful way of reaffirming to yourself and others the words spoken all those years ago. Perhaps you were unable to include family the first time so renewing is a way to share the day with them.   I include a sand ceremony and the fee is $300. A commitment ceremony is one way to overcome such obstacles as well as share with your partner the public declaration of your love and commitment to one another. This can be created to be just as intimate as a standard wedding but without the legal wording or registration. I include a sand ceremony and a commitment certificate. My fee for these ceremonies are $300.  Combined wedding and Namings are becoming more common. I generally have the naming follow the wedding with a short gap in between to allow set up as well as let you enjoy the moment briefly for yourself as a newly married couple! I provide bound copies of both, certificates for the child and others involved in the ceremony all for $650.
